Team work makes to Dream Work
A team, what is a team? Some would say it’s a group of individuals trying to achieve a common goal, or simply deciding to be on one side of a competitive game or sport. This word for millennia has rippled through the history of man altering events that has set ourselves in this current placement we call the present today. We all come from different backgrounds and cultures that surrounds and at the same time cultivates our way of life from a morality standpoint.
A basis of what a decent human being should be. Only having to survive in a cold lonely world accompanied by 7 billion people. So what is a team after the game? Accomplishing this goal does something to a person and another, it unifies them. Whether it was a good game, win, bad game, or loss. It’s An experience of unity rare to random individuals who look from the outside and not the inside. This forms the bond of the root word of all unification, family. That’s right family, Being on a team means making sacrifices, doing more than you thought you would have to do no matter the cost because of a platonic love that transcends the team jersey, helmet, or spikes.
“Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships.” -Michael Jordan
More of a respect value has to be prepared to evolve like the greats such as Michael Jordan. This value can be accomplished through listening to each other hoping for more and more wisdom for the game and life as it goes on. A sport and a formal event has two big differences. One is more physically demanding than the other but some would disagree on technical terms. Dividing your efforts from 100%, it is an 80/20 rule.
No not in a relationship but this in some ways can be taken out of contexts to do so. It takes 20% of hardcore body interaction and %80 thinking power. So what else left would we have to work on after the accomplished physical attributes. The mental state, being focused and of sound mind with confidence. But something else is missing from this formula of perfection.
“I invite everyone to choose forgiveness rather than division, teamwork over personal ambition.” –Jean-Francois Cope
A team that supports one another through the good, the bad ,and the horrible with proper proceedings of caution towards each individual because of the distinctive personalities on the team and can still give out constructive criticism, motivation, and inspiration to one another is a beautiful thing. This in turn can create an example for the future leaders of a team smashing two birds with one stone. Acknowledging what a team is and how to have the character to sustain it.
These attributes can be side by side in a family’s relationship. Putting everything on the line for one that is not blood or member is a pure act of selflessness in conclusive result thats what a team is all about. Having to live in this world outside of Park university’s filter or parameters that shields us from the corrupt reality we all have to eventually survive in instead of thrive will be hard. A team is a family, and family doesn’t give up on family. Some it may come easy but learning this today can have that person change for the better.
