BBQ next to Chestnut – Bring whatever you can regarding food and extra supplies then enjoy the music and good times.

An interesting Idea struck the minds in the Chestnut residents while hanging out in the front lobby. You see, in Chestnut there are pros and cons. But fortunately the benefits out way the cons concerning this event we look forward to. Yes, the walks to classes are long but with a much more open environment, dorms that are practically made to socialize, open hallways, and having enough of what we need but so little to force ourselves outside of our rooms. This creates the inevitable socialization that in turn generates fresh ideas for our future and concerning Park University’s as well benefiting both parties for the greater good. In this case a BBQ for Park University held on the Campus grounds at chestnut next to the outside Basketball court accommodating a kitty pool for the kids and other water toys for everyone else to enjoy would be an awesome perk of an open BBQ. Hopefully we can get the Copley residents to cooperate instead of staying in their hotels. It’s so much of what they need but at the same time they have more than what they want. More space, a kitchen, refrigerator, cabinets, front room, and 2 separate rooms and bathrooms. I myself was once a Copley resident. When I knew there was an event me and my group of friends darted out the door whenever something was finally going on besides childish antics and petty quarrels of the adolescents who resides in both dorms till this day.

The benefits of this rare occasion among our fellow Park pirates and the community around it consist of a lot of things. This includes Music, Friends, Family, an appropriate day for the weather of course, the basketball court also accommodating an optional kitty pool with water toys to entertain the children and our students. Naturally there will be plenty of food with a flyer to arrange an encouraged participation among the citizens and the students to bring their dishes for everybody else so there’s enough pork chops to go around. Various genres of old school music and a D.J. can be present while the basketball Tournament between dorms begins. This in turn “strengthens relationships” This also can benefit both parties were we could have fun and Park University can have much more publicity than it even gets now. In basic terms the superior affect this event can do to everyone who involves themselves with this proposal

can be a positive interaction strengthening the park spirit with the community it settles in. Chestnut BBQ area 7 to 10 p.m. Bring at least one thing to BBQ!  This Thursday!
