The Campanella Art Gallery welcomed a new set of artists recently. New Works, an invitational art exhibition curated by Andrea Lee, Ph.D., shows the work of 10 Park University faculty members: Donna Bachmann, William Eickhorst, Ed.D., Frank Hamilton, Deb Hillen, Masoom Khawaja, Andrea Lee, Christopher Lowrance, Kim Luther, Lynn-Richardson-Ludwigs, and Jeffery Smith. The participating artists are part of the Fine Arts program, nearly all currently teaching classes here in Parkville.

There is a mixture of two and three-dimensional works, some displayed on the walls and some on pedestals. Many different mediums are utilized; from fiber, ceramic and photography to mixed and digital media, with a variety of styles being represented.

“I think it’s a really neat opportunity for students to see what their professors are creating,” said Lee of the exhibit.

If you haven’t ventured up to the second floor of Norrington in a while, it’s worth the trip. The mood lighting and beautiful artwork make for a great place to sit and escape for a bit. The exhibit runs until April 26, 2018.
