Park Gifted Funds By BankLiberty For New Business School
BankLiberty of Kanas City recently gave $75,000 to Park University. The gift was announced on April 3.
This money will go toward the construction of the new School of Business building. The building will be located on the East side of the main entrance, with plans to begin construction in 2018.
The building will be called the Plaster Center, after Robert W. Plaster. In return for the donation from BankLiberty, there will be an individual room within the building known as the BankLiberty Classroom.
President Gunderson met with BankLiberty President and CEO, Brent Giles, to receive the check and talk about plans for the donation.
“Exceptional, cutting-edge education is important to our region’s success, and this commitment helps Park continue to demonstrate its leadership in that success,” said Giles.
BankLiberty was founded in Liberty, Mo. in 1955. It is a community bank with all 11 of its locations in the Kansas City Northland, including one branch on Highway 9 in Parkville. BankLiberty has been a part of the Park community, but this donation will certainly strengthen that relationship and offer more opportunity to partner together in the future.
Your donation will support the student journalists of Park University. Your contribution will allow us to cover our annual website hosting costs, freeing up other funds for equipment, printing and training.
