The Park University Women’s Soccer team continued their winning streak. After a two-game road trip they came back to Julian Field to take on Hannibal-LaGrange.
Park didn’t waste any time getting the game started as Forward Shnell Briscoe scored with a two-touch shot. The team took a big lead 11 minutes later with long distance goals scored by Midfielders Sydney Patterson and Caitlin Foreman. Hannibal went on to score to make the game 3-1 in favor of the Pirates in the first half.
Patterson got her second goal in the game in the second half to lead the team to a 4-2 win against Hannibal-LaGrange.
Later in the week, the women went on a three-game road trip starting with Harris Stowe, where they picked up their fourth shutout win of the season.The team went on to win 6-0 as Patterson, Biscoe and Senior Defender Jen French led in scoring.
Subsequently, the team got its fifth shutout win of the season against William Baptist with a score of 13-0. Biscoe and Junior Midfielder Bridget Steiner led the team in scoring with five goals from Biscoe and three goals from Steiner, helping Biscoe capture the lead in American Midwest Conference scoring.
The team’s winning streak came to end when they played their last away game against Columbia College as Park was defeated 7-1. Shnell Biscoe scored Park’s only goal holding her lead on AMC scoring with her 18th goal of the season.
With the help of their winning streak over the last two weeks, the team has improved its record to 7-6. In the American Midwest Conference, the women now stand in second place with a record of 7-1.
