The final week of school is upon us and one thing is certain: the library is going to be packed with people.
The couches, the chairs, the desks and, most importantly, the computers will all be used.
For students lucky enough to have their own computer, this week will go by without a hitch. Your final papers, presentations, programs and other work will be completed on time and turned in with ease. Those without computers will have a much more difficult time.
Throughout any time in the semester a casual walk through the library yields interesting results. Of the individuals using the computers on a day-to-day basis, only a handful are using them for school related tasks. The rest are browsing Facebook, checking ESPN or watching YouTube videos.
Under normal circumstances, using the library’s computers for leisure is just fine. During this week however, we should be very mindful of other people.
Papers will need to be printed, projects will need to be completed and tensions will be high. So do yourselves and your fellow students a favor: only use the computers for as long as you need them and not a second longer.
Your considerations may be the only thing keeping other students from getting a good grade.
