The Park University Mabee Underground was full with employers and students hoping to find internships or jobs during the 10th annual Career and Internship Fair held Sept. 18.
All types of businesses were available to talk to prospective employees including Kansas City Public Television.
“We need people who are self-motivated, smart, and resourceful,” said Sandy Woodson, who was a video producer for 17 years at KCPT and is now in human resources.
Farmland, another company whose representatives attended, is looking to hire competitive people who are entrepreneurial and result oriented.
“(We are looking for) passion for the consumer and the food industry”, said Wendy Tremain, Farmland employee.
Students with entrepreneurial ability and with a career path could find opportunities at IRIS data services.
“We want the company to succeed so they can succeed,” said Michelle Adams, acquisition specialist.
Park student Adam Richardson attended the career and internship fair to find new employment opportunities.
“I need a new job,” said Richardson.
