Question of the Week:
What did you do to celebrate Valentine’s Day?
“My Valentine’s Day was really fun. Me and my friends went to watch a movie, and later we went dancing. We all had a good time.”
– Doreen Nakagiri, junior in computer science
“I worked from 8-5 and then I waited like 45 minutes for Pizza Hut to make my heart pizza and chocolate chip cookie pie. On my way to pick it up I stopped by sonic and the police had the parking lot next to sonic on lockdown! I almost didn’t go to sonic haha but the love for a route 44 was in the air and I couldn’t resist it. After all that hubub I picked up the pizza and went home to watch a redbox and then Netflix with some friends!”
– Jandro Winkle, a sophomore in pre-med
“I told my girlfriend that we were going somewhere on Saturday night, but I wanted it to be a surprise. I almost gave it away the day before but I managed to keep it a secret. I brought her to a sushi restaurant called Sakura where the sushi comes around on a little train around the table. We had a really great time.”
– Elijah Vandepol, a freshman in mathematics
“I went to the movies with my best friend’s girlfriend, Ashley. Then, I made a nice steak dinner and enjoyed it and a movie night at home with my parents. It was simple but had lots of love and family.”
– Lisa Amsden, a sophomore in public relations
“I arranged for me and my husband to have a quiet night to ourselves. I usually have my 85 year old father and my six year old grandson over on Saturday nights, but I changed plans so that it could just be the two of us. It was a nice surprise for him because he has a stressful job. I also made him a nice dinner and his favorite chocolate chip cookies from scratch. We watched a movie together and enjoyed our night together.”
– Debbie Stevenson, an adjunct Spanish professor
