For anyone who wishes to learn more about business and investments, there is a club on campus for you.
Park University’s Business and Investment Club serves the purpose while helping students to network with others in similar situations themselves.
The Business and Investment Club is open to all Park students, staff and teachers, both on campus and online. The group held its first meeting Jan. 22 in McAfee Library seminar room 416A. Club officers were elected for the semester and future meetings will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesdays.
“The Park University student invest club exists to provide a forum for Park University students to become financially literate, increase financial intelligence and learn about business and investment opportunities,” said Robert Kao, assistant professor of Finance and also the club’s advisor.
Some of the activities students who join the club can participate in include private round table lunches with prominent business leaders, stock market simulation challenges, access to exclusive guest speaker lectures and travel on informative field trips.
Club members will also learn real world concepts of finance, business and investments.
“It will develop and educate Park University students by providing member with the knowledge, tools and encouragement needed to become leaders in business and investment,” said Kao.
Students can contact the club for more information at [email protected] or 816-584-6852.
